Paula Lee

I have been dancing for over 20 years and I'm trained in many dance techniques, ranging from ballet to break dance. I am a qualified and experienced choreographer, performer and teacher. In 2004 I set up Urban Moves, with the aim to offer affordable dance classes within the local community. Five years on, we now offer classes to children and adults at beginner and intermediate levels as well as teach in schools and community groups across Bristol.
My classes are open to absolutely anyone who loves to dance and wants to keep fit. During each class, I aim to teach you basic street dance steps as well as develop your confidence and bring out every ounce of energy you have!

Like my sister, Paula, I have a similar dance background and began dancing at a young age. I am also trained in contemporary, street, and break dance. I have recently completed my professional dance training and joined Urban Moves in September 2007. I also teach children in schools, youth groups and theatre schools across Bristol. During my class you will learn a combination of hip hop and street dance moves in a fun yet relaxed environment. You will leave my class feeling energised and exhausted but with a smile on your face!

I trained as an Irish dancer from a young age and at 14 years old I joined Derry Youth Dance and Echo Echo Youth Dance Company - Daring Feet where I trained in contemporary dance. I have recently completed a BA Hons degree in Performance Dance and I am now studying Dance Movement Therapy at Masters level. I have taught Contemporary and Street Dance in various schools and youth clubs and especially enjoy working with children. I like to make my classes fun, energetic, creative and an overall positive experience of dance for the children involved.
